Parikrama (A center of learning)

A wonderful day started in hurry. We suppose to be in office by 9.00 but it wasn't possible as we woke at 8.10. We had to rush. Somehow we manage to get ready by 8.50. I knew it would take another 20-30 min to reach office. I showed my smartness and called at office security desk to stop vehicle which suppose to take us to parikrama school.

This was my first visit to parikrama school in last one year and I felt I may have missed lots of chances to see smile on these poor children. But now sure I don't want to miss any chance anymore. I will visit school regularly.

The school was somewhere near to ISKON temple surrounded by slum area. Everything was scheduled before we reach there in school. Its a 2 floor building which runs almost 6 classes. You will find all kind of children's, very innocent. Our visit for them was like someone from other planet came to visit them. They all were very happy to see us.

They have arranged few programs based on freedom fighters. Children sang some patriotic Hindi, Kannada songs which remind me my school days. I used to do all these things. I realized one thing, when you are kid most of the time you don't know what you are doing. You really don't understand the purpose behind it. But as you grown up it make you feel something different. I don't how to describe it but I felt something like that. I was really missing my school days.

I always had a wonderful time with kids. I love kids very much. Few kids wanted to look at the snaps whichever i had taken so I showed them, but then they showed interest in click snaps so i gave my camera every one of them to click photo. I cant explain, they were so happy. look at this kids expression while clicking his snap :).

Here are few more snaps .....

From Robin Sharma's blog - III

Just dont do the things because everyone else does them. Do the things that are right for you. Because being a different for all the right reasons is a wise way to live.

If you want something to be done rather than waiting for luck to look your way, take steps to get it done. Who cares what others thing when you know that what you are doing is the right thing to do.

From Robin Sharma's blog - II

We are all cut from the same cloth. The great leaders were once considered ordinary. Until an idea came to them about how things could be better. That idea transformed how they saw the world. And then they acted on that idea, day by day, week by week, month by month and year by year. Until the world eventually saw them as extraordinary.

"I've seen extreme bravery from the least likely of people. Life is about the moments when it's all gone wrong. That's when we define ourselves," observed Bear Grylls, star of Man vs. Wild TV show.

To call yourself ordinary is to play victim - I suggest. To say you can't Lead Without Title at work and innovate and inspire and wow clients is to avoid the power that resides within you. To make excuses for not being as passionate/loving/brilliant as you can be is to close your eyes to the call on your life.

So today, walk out into the world as the person who you truly are. That's what leadership is about. That's what authentic success is about. In my mind, that's what being fully human is all about.

From Robin Sharma's blog - I

Life isn't predictable. Some things just don't work out as planned. Setbacks happen. Problems show up. That's just life happening. To fight it is to fight the seasons.

But through the ups and downs, there is one striking consistency: we all have the power of choice. Liberating idea isn't it. We have no power over the way some things ultimately turn out. But in every hour and in every day, we have the capacity to choose how we will think/perform and show up. And that's a ton of power.

And each of these choices is like a seed. It gets planted and must ultimately bear some fruit. Every action is a cause set in motion. There isn't a single choice you make that doesn't drive some result.

So today, choose your best. Stand in your power to create remarkable things at work and in home. Remember, you are not a victim. You are so much more.
